Workshops
Workplaces
It’s okay not to be okay uses personal storytelling to create safe spaces for participants to learn about mental health in an interactive, accessible and safe way.
They do this by sharing their lived experience to reduce stigma and normalise mental health problems and seeking help.
All workshops follow evidence based mental health frameworks and focus on sharing resources and all of our team members have completed LivingWorks training by Lifeworks.
Participants walk away with an understanding about the difference between mental health and mental ill health, how you can improve your mental health and what professional supports are available.

Primary Schools
The aim of our workshops is to build mental health literacy, resilience and equip students with a tool kit to deal with tough times. An early intervention primary school workshop aimed at grade fives and six students.
The workshop runs for one hour and covers;
What is a feeling and emotion?
What is mental health?
What impacts our mental health?
And tools to cope during tough times.
This workshop is capped at a maximum of thirty students in order for us to provide the most engaging experience.

Testimonials
The group were generous with their time and stayed back after the session assisting enquiries as we know some guys don’t like asking questions in front of a group. “It’s Okay not to be Okay” was warmly received by our team and their friendly, professional approach will assist your work groups. I strongly recommend you give the team a call, to help persons, who may not know how to seek help”

Any donation, big or small, will help us in our mission to advocate for and create change in mental health, grief and suicide prevention.
The mindfulness session at the end was incredibly calming and peaceful, which often in schools we don’t find the time to indulge in these types of moments, but are so crucially important. Staff came away with various strategies for dealing with stress and also identified areas in their own lives where they could possibly make some positive change to nurture their own mental health. I highly recommend providing your staff with the opportunity to hear from the “It’s okay not to be okay” team – you won’t regret it!!
